Description:
Rangely is located about 275 miles (440 kilometres) west of Denver, Colorado in the Rocky Mountains. The surrounding area is mostly dominated by cattle grazzing and fossil fuel extraction. Rangely is at an elevation of 5,230 feet (1,594 metres) and is serviced by state highways 64 and 139 in Rio Blanco County. Colorado is my home state and most favorite place! Ah yes Rangely, Co. ...
Ah yes Rangely, Co. home of the Ace High Saloon. Lived there for 5 months or so back in the day. I'd live in a third world country before I would ever live there again. Met some nice folks during my stay, but you meet nice people everywhere. As far as "LIVING THERE" goes,no way! Education levels are at about a 1920's pace and alcoholism is pretty rampant as there is NOTHING TO DO there. Sandy P, Alan R, Bob and Chris H and Leanne S if you see this it is "Omen" saying "HI"!
