Another scene of freight trains passing through Rangely, Colorado, in a "never was but could have been" western extension of the 'Moffat Road,' the fabled Denver & Salt Lake railroad that successfully crossed the Rocky Mountain Front Range west of Denver, but ended at Craig Colorado in real life, far short of Salt Lake City, Utah. Here depicted in HO model railroad scale, the road did go through, and passes through the real-life oilfield town of Rangely CO just before crossing the Utah border on its way to Salt Lake City.
